I had a question about criminal records…? (IN CALIFORNIA)?
I am under 18, about 17 and a half to be exact. And i recently applied for jobs and they asked me to fill out my pesonal information which allows them to do a background check. And I was wonderng if I was arrested for a MISDEMANOR (such as a little fight), will they see it? Because my friend told me that they can't find anything on me if I am under age because you can awlays get it seal. And once I am 18, when I seal it, will it totally be gone? And no one (for example, job places) view my past history? Please help…..?

It really depends. I work where we license individuals in a public safety setting. If you're under 18, generally, it shouldn't be public access. However, if you were tried as an adult (not in juvenile court), it will show, regardless of age. Ask for it to be sealed, and if it falls into the juvenile category, it will make sure that it is. If you were tried as an adult, check to see when/if you can get it expunged.
