anyone know anything about criminal records (IN CALIFORNIA)???????
I am under 18, about 17 and a half to be exact. And i recently applied for jobs and they asked me to fill out my pesonal information which allows them to do a background check. And I was wonderng if I was arrested for a MISDEMANOR (such as a little fight), will they see it? Because my friend told me that they can't find anything on me if I am under age because you can awlays get it seal. And once I am 18, when I seal it, will it totally be gone? And no one (for example, job places) view my past history? Please help…..?

Not to worry. Arrests, I think, are something employers are generally not even allowed to ask about, because being arrested does not mean you were guilty of anything. Still, that's what you asked about and some employers, even if they really aren't supposed to ask that, still do.
Convictions are more of an issue, because that means you are guilty of a crime. However, juvenile records in California are confidential unless you've killed someone, most likely.
And the truth is that it's doubtful your prospective employer is going to do much of an in-depth background on you anyway. Most businesses use pre-printed employment applications that they buy at the local stationery store, and that's just the way they come. If it's a larger business, and it's a pretty responsible position, they may do a little more of a background, but at your age, I don't know that I'd worry too much about it anyway.

get it sealed and Starbucks Safeway to go to hell its none of there business government job they still might not find it what guy does not mix it up so often like fist guys anser no convictions keep your nose clean
