Are You Doing Some Detective Work? There are certain times in our lives, and certainly when we are parents, that we may need to do some detective work. Many parents have experienced a situation where their child is spending time with someone new. It could be a feeling or even a parent’s intuition that says something is wrong. It might be a new roommate for your older child who gives you an eerie feeling, or something else altogether. Whatever the situation, there are times when you just don’t feel right about someone. As a parent, you feel you have to take action and do something, but you don’t want to be the ’snooping’ parent! What do you do in this situation? Many parents feel they should stay out of their child’s business. However, they struggle with the worry that comes with being a parent. It is difficult to weigh the safety of your child (when you’re not really sure if they’re in danger) against their privacy. There is no one authority when it comes to a situation like this, but if the feeling you have is so strong that you are truly worried about your child, you do have options. Perhaps talking to your child would provide you with the information you need to feel better or to stop worrying. Often, children will share their feelings with their parents, but sometimes they won’t. Sometimes a parent feels forced to find things out by themselves. With recent advances in search technology, you can utilize the name of that person you feel strange about to find out tons of information. How, you ask? Sites like California Criminal Records allow you to type in just a name, alone or with other information you have, in order to receive information about the background of that person. You can find out if that person has ever been convicted of a crime. It is very difficult to imagine your child spending time with a criminal, but it happens all the time. If it is the case, chances are your child doesn’t even know. You can find out other information as well, such as whether or not that person has ever been convicted in a civil case. The feeling might just have something to do with a dishonest person or someone who may be trying to take advantage of your child. The greatest advantage is that your child or the other person will never know you searched for a thing. It’s completely confidential, and no one will ever know that you looked up this information. Simply by typing in this person’s name, you can even find out if they are married, if they have ever filed bankruptcy, and much more. Sometimes, as a parent you have to tell yourself to let your child live his or her life. Sometimes, as a parent you take action and can end up saving your child’s life. If you need to do some detective work, you can check out California Criminal Records and get the information you need in a matter of seconds. You may be surprised at what you find out. You may be relieved, but most of all you will be ensuring the safety of your child, and after all, that’s a parent’s job, right?
I would like to access public records without paying a company fee of $39.95.
I would like to go to the public records office and find specific mortgage information. For example, what type of mortgage someone has.
I am trying to understand my credit situation better so I can fix it. I get a lot of conflicting responses and am not sure what to do. I have a judgement to my apartment complex for about $3,000 (which was paid in full.) This was from last year. I have never had a credit card and have no loans or anything. My credit report lists my 3 child support cases as my 3 accounts. When I paid for my score it said I was unable to be scored, though in an answer to another question I asked someone said I do have a credit score but its probably low. Will the public records affect my score and how so. Since I paid the judgement to my apartment complex in full, should that be refected somewhere on my report? If all you have are negatives your score is probably so low it is below the lowest score of 350 ( I believe ).
If I had the exact address of a house built on a piece of property, that was at one time farm land, how or where on the internet could I find public records of what was on that land, before the house was built? The house and the houses around it were infiltrated with excessive amounts of mold. I need to find out if the houses were built on some kind of toxic waste land, or if there were springs underground, or if something has been covered up. The house is located in the Little Britain Township, in Lancaster, PA. Thanks. Also, any college professors or students that know of any kind of toxic chemical that could possibly grow mold, I'd be interested in hearing about it. I once read that Erin Brockovich found excessive amounts of mold in her house in Conejo Valley, CA. and was wondering if any kind of toxic chemical being dumped on land could cause it. If it helps a mold test was taken, and Penicillium,Asperguillius, and Cladisporin were found. No water leaks were ever found in the house
I realize that in order to find out where a builder may be planning to buy older homes and put new ones on the land, that I must check the public records of the county court house. I would like to find this online. I Googled the info and could not find where to locate this. Does anyone know how I would find it for Gwinnett County in Georgia? Thanks a lot.
Our son's little league coach has an injunction for stalking and harrassment, and we think that the other parents should read the disturbing public records that we paid for from the county courthouse to help them ensure the safety for their children? Many thanks. You might open yourself up to getting sued for slander. Legally you wouldn't be because the information is true but it's a gray area because the underlying offense might be false. That's why we have courts.
I was told if I wanted to find someone, to got to the courthouse and look in the public records. My question is which records do I search since all I know is the name and that they live here in town with an unlisted phone number. Also know that public records doesn't always mean easily accessible records. Because of privacy concerns, many places make it difficult at times to get to "public" records. Sometimes you may even have to fill out a Freedom of Information Act Request (if it is your information that someone is looking for, you might be appreciative that requirement). But places you can look - voter registration roles, deed filings (hoping they own their residence), some areas (smaller towns for the most part) have a list of residences with their current occupants - in some cases they are reverse searchable. Privacy is a big concern these days, and that they have an unlisted number probably means that they want that privacy more than most (or just that they use a cell phone instead of a land based phone). But there are records you can access at the courthouse that MIGHT help. Easy? Most certainly not, but depending on how much you really want to find this person, the effort may be worth it. Then again, maybe not.
Every time I try a search, I am lead to a "membership" based site. I thought public records are obtainable for free? |
